DESCRIPTION:
The Caribbean islands are a very interesting fishing destination. A paradise for jigging, the waters of the western Atlantic are rich in a wide variety of bottom-dwelling predators. There are nearly a dozen species of snapper alone. One of the most coveted is the queen snapper, found at depths of 180 meters, and His Majesty the Cubera, the largest snapper species. Besides bottom-dwelling fish, there are also many pelagic predators, which can be caught using jigging, casting, and trolling. Mackerel, various tuna species, marlin, sailfish, barracuda, amberjack, the ubiquitous garfish, and horse mackerel are all available.
Tarpon, a white predator, a coveted trophy for many experienced fishermen, known for its size, strength, and leaps when reeling in, occupies a special place.
